Octodad

“Octodad” yelled my little cousin, when she unwrapped her present. And so it was. I had made her a new dolly that resembles Octodad! And she was very happy with the doll.

Octodad is a popular game, about an octopus that marries a girl and has to take care of household and children. Because my niece liked the game I have designed a doll that resembles the blue Octodad.

I knitted the doll on circular needles and normal knitting needles, with some leftover cotton in the colors of the action-figurine of the popular game. The doll is about 24 cm or 9 inch high and bendable.

I made also a black version of the same doll, because the yellow octopus marries his beloved girl some day. This doll is a bit different, for I wanted to correct some elements of the first one.

The dolls are bendable, because I have constructed a metal skeleton, but for very young children it is advisable to make the doll without this element and without beads!.

I have written the patterns of both dolls down, but I am not sure it is without mistakes. So if you find any, fill in a contact form to give me a ring. Maybe some knitters want to test the pattern.

The pattern is to be found here >> https://elzeblaadje.files.wordpress.com/2020/01/octodad-knitting-pattern-english.pdf

Much Joy with the pattern, Alice
